Family Gathering/Quarterly Business Meeting
Our Family Business Meeting will be this Sunday, September 11 at 5:30 pm in the gym. We will be voting on two new elder candidates, several functional offices, and our 2016/2017 Budget, which you can get copies of at the Welcome Center today along with the Agenda and the June 19, 2016 meeting minutes. This, as usual, will be a pitch-in dinner so please bring plenty to share.
Awana and theDispersion Parent Night
If you have kids who attend either the children’s or student’s ministries, please join us this Wednesday night to partner with us in ministering to your family. We will meet from 7-8pm, but you are welcome to join us at 6:30pm to see our regular events. Parents with only young children will meet in the upstairs conference room. Parents of teens will meet in the fellowship hall.
Oak Park is hosting our second annual neighborhood Fall Festival on Saturday, October 29th from 2:00-5:00 PM. Our goal is to create a family friendly and fun atmosphere to invite our neighbors to come and enjoy so that we can build Gospel relationships. For those interested in a joining a prayer team to pray for this outreach join us on Sunday, September 11, after the service in the sanctuary for a short informational meeting.
Women’s One-Day Fall Retrea
The Women’s Retreat which will be held on Saturday, September 17th, from 9:00am - 2:00pm, at the church. Tickets are $10 for Oak Park women, $5 for the first-time guest of an OP woman, and can be purchased in the foyer.
Student Ministry Fall Camping Trip
Middle school and high school students are camping at Charlestown State Park on September 16-17. Cost is $20. Check out the "Events" tab on the website for more information.
Choices for Women Fund Raiser
Choices for Women will be hosting their 12th Annual Walk for Life on Saturday, October 1st. They will be walking in the Harvest Homecoming Parade and will meet at the New Albany High School at 11:30 am. There are Walk Pledge Forms at the Welcome Center or you can register on line at www.cfw4life.org.
