What To Expect

What to Expect

How Long Is The Service?

Our Sunday Morning worship lasts between 75-90 minutes.

Is There Childcare?

We provide free childcare (pre-K) during both our Discipleship Classes and Worship Service. Visit the Welcome Table at the main entrance or ask someone from our Welcome Team for information on how to check your child in.

How Should I Dress?

Come as you are. There is no expected dress code at Oak Park. For most people at our gatherings, that tends to be something like jeans or slacks and a shirt.

Will I Be Singled Out?

No. We do not ask visitors to stand and be recognized, to give a testimony, to come to the front. We’d be honored if you would introduce yourself at our Welcome Center and receive a welcoming gift.

Will I Be Pressured To Give Money?

We don’t ever expect new guest to give at our services; we want our service to be a gift to you. Each week we do take up an offering to further the ministries and missions of Oak Park. This is the time where our members give as an act of worship and to support the church family.

What Are The Sermons Like?

We preach the Bible, verse-by-verse, book-by-book while still making rich application to daily life. We believe the scriptures are God’s Word and that truly preaching it is deeply engaging, facinating, and applicable.

What Is The Music Like?

The music at Oak Park is deliberately mixed to reflect the diverse age groups and backgrounds of the family at Oak Park. Each service, songs are picked to be gospel-centered and theologically rich, as well as singable and relatable to the family at Oak Park. We lead with a variety of instruments and styles both old and new, and seek to incorporate the full range of emotions involved in the Christian life from sorrow to joy and awe to exuberance. Our musical style is generally similar in breadth and diversity to ministries like Sovereign Grace MusicKeith and Kristyn Getty, and Matt Boswell.
