WHO WE ARE
At Oak Park we are a church family of those who have been redeemed by the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We exist in the community of Jeffersonville to Love Jesus, Love People, and Help People Love Jesus. We fulfill this purpose by being committed to biblical Worship, Community, Discipleship, and Mission. It would be our great joy to have you join us on a Sunday morning, we’d love to meet you!
Worship
Our corporate worship time is the most important gathering of the church and is centered on the word of God. Together we meet to preach the word, sing the word, pray the word, read the word, and see the word.
Community
Community at Oak Park means devoting ourselves to the practice of God’s word in fellowship with one another. Our community groups then are a time of fellowship, prayer, and seeking to apply and practice God’s word.
Discipleship
Discipleship at Oak Park seeks to equip the church through God’s word for Christ-like maturity and spirit-empowered ministry. We have discipleship ministries available for all ages.
Mission
At OPBC we seek to build God’s church by sharing the Gospel in personal evangelism and cross-cultural mission. It is our desire to reach our local area, our country, and the world with the Gospel in word and deed. We partner with missions organizations, local ministries, and the Southern Baptist Convention to accomplish this task.
Oak Park Baptist Church subscribes to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as well as a supplemental statement on Marriage and Human Sexuality. Additionally, we have several distictives that, while not part of our stated beliefs, have become an important part of the culture here at Oak Park.
